Who we are

Clipdeal is run by Peyton Chapman, doing business as Clipdeal. It connects brands that want short videos with creators who make them. We are not an employer of creators and do not make the videos ourselves.

Accounts

You must be 18 or older and give accurate information. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, miss deadlines repeatedly, or try to move payments off the site.

How payments work

Brands pay when they hire. Payments are processed by Stripe and held until the brand approves the video, or until it is approved automatically 3 days after delivery. Clipdeal keeps 15% of each job as its fee, taken from the creator's payment. Brands also pay a service fee at checkout that covers payment processing (2.9% + 30¢) at cost, with no markup; it is refunded with any full refund. Creators must connect a Stripe account to be paid and are responsible for their own taxes.

Deadlines, revisions and disputes

If a creator misses the deadline, the brand is refunded in full. Brands get up to 2 revisions. Either side can open a dispute before approval; we review it and decide whether to pay the creator, refund the brand, or split the payment. Our decision on the held payment is final.

Videos and rights

Brands see a watermarked preview until they approve. Once a brand approves and the creator is paid, the brand may use the delivered video to promote its products, without time limit, in any media. Creators keep the right to show the video in their portfolio unless the job says otherwise. Creators confirm they have the rights to everything in the video, including music and people shown.

Hook packs

Hook packs are AI-written suggestions for creators. They are delivered instantly and are not refundable once generated, except that a pack that fails to generate stays available to use again.

Not allowed

Illegal, hateful, sexual or misleading content; fake reviews; paying or asking to pay outside the site; and harassment of other users.

Limits

Clipdeal is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees we earned from your jobs in the last 12 months.

Changes and law
